Mrs. Wilda Oxholm is one of the second grade teachers.  She has been teaching 42 years.  She retired from the Tangipahoa Parish School
System.  She was teaching at Chesbrough Elementary when she retired and was chosen Who's  Who Among American Teachers while there.  She also taught at Kentwood, Natalbany, and Spring Creek Elementary schools.  After retirement, she taught at  Oak Forest and has been at BGS for 9 1/2 years.  She holds a BA in elementary education from SLU.  She is certified in grades 1-8 and has  taught grades 1-7 during her years of teaching.  She had to take an emergency leave the first semester due to the illness and death of her husband, Bud Oxholm.  They have two daughters; Tina Anthony, who is a retired school teacher and is now an RN at North Oaks Hospital in Hammond, and Susan Okholm, who passed away at the age of 10 at St. Jude's Children Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.

Mrs. Alice Seal is a Pr-K teacher.  She has 25 years experience working with young children.  This is her tenth year teaching Pre-K at BGS.  She is married to Huey Seal and they have five children.  Their youngest child, Mallory Seal Wilkins is a 2003 BGS alumni.  "Ms Alice" says, she would like your child's first year in school to be one full of new and exciting adventures.  The learning ability of a four year old cannot be measured. Watching the minds of these precious children open up and seeing their "lights" come on each day makes her job very rewarding.  She wants to make learning a positive experience for your child, one supported by lots of love and interest.

Mrs. Marietta Thomas is one of the Pre-K teachers. She has taught at BGS for ten years. Her children are Lauren who graduated from BGS, and Hope who is in the 8th grade at BGS. Marietta wants your child's first school experience to be an exciting one; because at four-years-old, the children are so excited about learning

Mrs. Pat Sumrall is the elementary computer teacher. She has been at Bowling Green for 16 years.  She is married to Dana Sumrall and they have two children, Jeremy and Kasey, both who are BGS alumni.  Mrs. Pat also works on Edline and the BGS website.
