BGS. She is married to Huey Seal

youngest child, Mallory Seal Wilkins is
a 2003 BGS alumni. "Ms Alice"
says, she would like your child's first
year in school to be one full of new and
exciting adventures. The learning
ability of a four year old cannot be
measured. Watching the minds of these
precious children open up and seeing
their "lights" come on each day makes
her job very rewarding. She wants
to make learning a positive experience
for your child, one supported by lots of
love and interest. |

M.Ed in elementary teaching from SLU,
and +30 graduate hours from SLU and LSU.

and later moved back to Washington
Parish where she has taught at Pine,

This year completes her forty-seventh
year as a classroom teacher in grades
five through eight. During this
time she has served as a school
supervisor of student teachers from SLU.
Over the years twenty-five to thirty or
more of her former student teachers have
moved on to jogs in the education field.
Some are classroom teachers, several are
principals or assistant principals,
teachers of gifted, and one is now
assistant superintendent for Washington
Parish. Mrs. Ard is married to
Heyward Ard, a retired service manager
for the local Chevrolet dealer.
They were the parents of one son, James
Ard, who is deceased. Currently
the Ards live on a farm and raise beef
cattle. Teaching children at the
pre-teen age is challenging and
rewarding. Mrs. Ard has enjoyed
these challenges. She finds it
interesting to teach with her former
students and to continue to teahc
children of former students, and in some
cases, the grandchildren of her former
